Position Overview


EOSOL Group is looking for a Transportation & Logistics Specialist to join our Logistics team and support domestic transportation operations across the United States.


The position will be responsible for managing and optimizing transportation activities, ensuring materials and equipment are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The role will have a strong focus on carrier and broker management, transportation procurement, cost optimization, service quality, and operational execution.


Key Responsibilities


  • Source, negotiate, and contract domestic transportation services, including FTL/LTL, rail, and other ground transportation.
  • Develop and maintain a competitive network of carriers, freight brokers, rail operators, and logistics providers.
  • Request, analyze, compare, and negotiate freight quotations and transportation rates.
  • Negotiate rates, fuel surcharges, payment terms, accessorial charges, and other commercial conditions.
  • Coordinate and monitor shipments from suppliers, ports, warehouses, and other locations to project sites.
  • Manage transportation requirements for oversized and overweight cargo, including permits, escorts, and specialized carriers when required.
  • Monitor transportation costs, transit times, capacity, delivery performance, and service levels.
  • Proactively identify transportation constraints, delays, and capacity issues and develop alternative solutions.
  • Manage transportation incidents, delays, cargo damage, and claims through resolution.
  • Track shipments and maintain accurate transportation information within ERP/TMS systems.
  • Review and validate freight invoices against agreed rates and contractual conditions.
  • Prepare transportation KPIs, cost analyses, and performance reports.
  • Support logistics budgets and transportation cost forecasts.
  • Collaborate closely with Procurement, Project Management, Sales/Proposals, Warehousing, and Finance teams.
  • Support the evaluation and outsourcing of warehousing and distribution activities when required.
  • Ensure transportation providers comply with applicable safety, insurance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously monitor the U.S. transportation market to identify new suppliers, alternative transportation solutions, and cost-saving opportunities.


Requisitos

  • Degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, International Business, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, freight services, or similar positions in the United States.
  • Proven experience sourcing and negotiating FTL/LTL transportation services.
  • Experience managing carriers, freight brokers, and transportation providers.
  • Strong knowledge of the U.S. domestic freight transportation market.
  • Experience with freight quotations, budgets, KPIs, and cost analysis.
  • Experience using ERP and/or TMS systems. SAP and Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central are a plus.
  • Experience with oversized/overweight cargo, rail transportation, or project logistics is highly valued.
  • Experience in renewable energy, construction, EPC, or project logistics is a strong plus.
  • Advanced professional English is mandatory.
  • Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with international teams, suppliers, and geographically dispersed stakeholders.
  • Proactive, organized, and results-oriented approach.
